Hi, I'm Sophia

I've been teaching GCSE triple Science and A level Biology for 17 years, with 7 of these as Head of Science, so I know which methods for studying and revision work.

I've seen which areas of science students struggle with and how to fix these issues.

After leaving the classroom back in 2023, I went all in on my tuition business, Pineapple Tuition.

I now work with higher tier GCSE Science students in weekly online small group classes.

I have a 2.1 (honours) degree in Genetics from the University of London, a PGCE, and was a finalist in the Kent Women in Business Awards and the Woman Who Awards last year.

I can show you how to navigate those crucial 2 years at GCSE level to get the best grades.

My online classes have focus on knowledge and exam skills, especially in year 11, where support is crucial. There is simply no magic bullet to GCSE success, just knowing WHAT to do, and WHEN to do it.

I have built by core subject team with other tutors and we now offer small group online classes in English, Maths and Science for students in year 9-11.

I've taught lots of students that have gone on to become doctors, dentists and go into other science related careers and seen the patterns in what they do that really works in getting the grades.
